UniFi Identity App Not Opening on Windows or macOS
What you need to do
✅ If you have admin rights, update the app yourself using the link below.
✅ If you do not have admin rights (managed device), open a support ticket for IT to update the app.
Issue
Some users may experience the UniFi Identity desktop app not opening on Windows or macOS. This is typically caused by running an outdated version of the app.
Resolution
For users with admin rights on their device:
Join the Guest Network to access internet
Download the latest version of the app for your operating system from the official UniFi download page:

Install the update by following the on-screen instructions.
Relaunch the app.
For users with managed devices (no admin rights):
Additional Notes
On macOS, you may need to allow the app in System Settings > Privacy & Security if prompted.
On Windows, if you encounter a SmartScreen warning, click More info > Run anyway to proceed with the installation.
If the issue persists after updating, please contact your IT Support team.
