UniFi Identity Error when connecting on Chromebook
Error Message:
"Network connection error. Failed to connect to network, username/password incorrect or EAP-auth failed"
Vendor has been made aware of this issue, below is the current workaround:
Manually Configure the EAP Settings
ChromeOS may not auto-detect the correct EAP config.
On UniFi Identity
- Click on the three vertical dots on WiFi Tab
- Click copy password
Go to Wi-Fi settings and edit the network manually:
Use these exact settings:
EAP method: PEAP
Phase 2 authentication: MSCHAPv2
Server CA certificate: Do not check
(for now)
Identity: uid-<your-crossroads-email>, example: uid-support@crossroadschurch.com
Password: Should be filled automatically. If blank, paste from the Identity app.
Anonymous identity: Leave blank.
